Because this is my uncensored story of how to lose weight. The ups, the downs, what stuff didn’t work and finally the one thing that did help me achieve my personal goal of losing weight fast
Getting caught up in life, I never noticed my weight gain until I decided to put on a dress that I wore getting married. One look in the mirror and I knew I had a big problem on my hands (if you’re wondering the dress did not fit, sigh).
I finally said to myself, this isn’t a pity party so let’s take action and lose that excess weight! So like anyone, I started researching the most popular diets, programs and exercises I could find.
Diets, Memberships & Ab Machines – Anything Work?
I first tried extreme diets. Sadly, I found them to be too overwhelming for me to stick with. One of these extreme diet programs was so restrictive that you couldn’t even have an apple! Needless to say, I was always hungry and had little energy during the day.
Then I thought about joining a gym. That idea sucked even more! Between being a mother, wife and having a job, going to the gym was not really an option for me.
I wasn’t getting anywhere so in a desperate attempt to losing weight fast I bought a popular weight loss workout machine I saw on TV. I thought, hey this is great; I can workout at anytime I want all in the comfort of my home to lose weight fast. Wrong! The initial purchase gave me some weird sense of accomplishment (if that makes any sense) but after using the device for a few days and following their weight loss tips, I realized how naive I was in getting caught up in the hype. To top things off, using the machine was so repetitive I quickly lost interest and stopped using it.
Finally found something that works (best way to lose weight)!
So at this point in my quest to answer the question of how much weight can I lose, I was pretty down on myself but I still kept visualizing how great my body could one day look in that dress of mine. So I refocused and really spent time researching how to achieve my goal.
Now, after having tried a bunch of programs all designed for rapid weight loss, I knew how to quickly eliminate products, methods or diets that were similar to what I tried in the past. Eventually my research paid off. I stumbled upon a program that I credit to helping me lose weight quickly and ultimately help me back into my dress! It’s a program called “Fat Loss 4 Idiots”. I know, the name sounds ridiculous right? That’s what I thought too, but I couldn’t argue with results: I was able to lose 20 pounds in just 5 weeks!
So how does it work? The “Idiot Proof” diet works by something they call calorie shifting and throwing off your body’s metabolism. This diet provides you with step by step instructions designed to jump start your metabolism so that you begin burning calories naturally without having to spend hours in the gym (essential for someone busy like me). After following the program, I was really surprised how well I was able to tighten up my midsection (not to mention tone the rest of my body). One thing, however, I didn’t like about the program is while it did indeed help me lose weight, the diet is a bit bland and boring. So you might not be able to continue the plan forever. For short term weight loss goals, the diet works quite well. One solution might be to use Fat Loss 4 Idiots at first, and then slowly educate yourself into better overall eating habits. Needless to say, I feel happier, healthier and enjoy wearing that dress that started this journey.

How Can I Lose Weight? Forget Calories
Have you ever considered why certain people are just naturally overweight (guilty as charged) while others can stay skinny as a pole while eating double what you or I eat? How much weight can I lose if I’m already eating less than others? Frustrating, I know. Well keep reading because I have some good news.
Surprisingly, daily calories are not actually the main factor in whether you’re skinny or obese. Let me break down the three main types of calories that you can consume each day:
- Protein
- Carbohydrates
- Fat
Our bodies don’t keep track of how many calories are consumed each day, but rather our bodies pay close attention to how much of each type of calorie we consume.
So if you’re eat too many sugar type calories (FYI sugar is a very common ingredient in fat free foods) then your body will be unable to use all of those calories, and the surplus calories will simply become stored as fat.
This can occur even if you don’t eat very many daily calories simply because if you choose to eat an excessive amount of the wrong calories then you’ll become fat. This simple fact is why so many overweight people struggle to lose weight and subsequently stay obese their whole lives even though they may eat far less than their friends and family.

Best Way To Lose Weight – Stay Motivated
Hey everyone. I just wanted to take a little time to share some tips on your journey to answer the question of how much weight can I lose. Once you have found a method that shows great promise, there is still one more important factor to consider. You! It does not matter how good a diet program, unless you stay focused on your ultimate goal to lose weight, you will be left with disappointing results. In my experience the real magic bullet is being able to stay focused even when the results are not showing up quite yet.
I know to many of you this probably sounds like a broken record but I truly believe my weight loss success has ultimately come from my deep desire to get the sexy body I always wanted. Here are some of my top tips that helped me stay focused:
Start by taking a few minutes every day visualizing how you body would look being slimmer. I know this may sound hard to do if you have never been slim but just try it. Really see yourself with the sexy body you truly want. If you are asking yourself the question how much weight can I lose, you owe to you yourself to try this tip.
Now on to the more important secret to my success.
Establish incremental goals for yourself. Make them very small (so small in fact that achieving them should be somewhat effortless). Now I don’t mean necessarily setting rapid weight loss goals, as actual weight loss can vary from time to time but maybe the goal involves getting some more physical activity or maybe it involves adding in a healthy food that you normally would not eat. Hopefully you get the picture. Just be sure it is a goal you already know you can achieve. Sounds silly, but trust me it really works! When your goal is to lose 30, 40 or 50+ pounds you cannot expect to do it overnight. This is why setting these small goals keeps you motivated enough to achieve your biggest weight loss goals.
I have found this principle so powerful that now I actually apply this principle to things outside of losing weight and am finding more success in those tasks. So if you’re struggling to lose a little bit of extra fat around a stubborn area give this tip a try.
Now, I’ll share one more little secret with you..
I’m naturally a happy and positive person. I have loving relationships with my children and my husband, but just like everyone else I can get down sometimes too. Besides setting small goals for myself, I have found laughing or just funny things help me out. Laughter has this powerful way of getting me into a happy and positive frame of mind and has really lifted me up on days that I struggled with achieving my goal of finding ways to lose weight. How Much Weigth Can I Lose – Options?
I started my journey towards a slimmer and healthier me by asking the question: how much weight can I lose? Now to answer this question, I found many solutions showing the latest weight loss tips or how to lose weight quickly but in reality very few of these ways to lose weight really work. I’ll explain.
In my own research to answer my burning question, I have found diet pills, diet plans and countless other fat loss programs. One tells you to restrict certain foods, another gives you the meal to eat altogether. After thoroughly evaluating these products and guides to help me lose weight, I discovered that there is a lot of misinformation being spread around the market.
I, for one, used to think that simply adopting a healthy diet was enough. But after seeing the approaches many popular weight loss systems used first hand and then finally finding an approach that worked for me, I could not believe just how different it was from what you see advertised on tv or read in magazines.
